Through a partnership with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) is working to improve the patient experience during medical forensic examinations after sexual violence has occured.
All shared information will be used to assist in revising the document A National Protocol for Sexual Assault Medical Forensic Examinations Adult/Adolescents 2nd. ed., which provides guidance to clinicians providing medical care to individuals who have experienced sexual violence.
